Installing Panopto for Mac

If you are using a university computer

1. Click Start on the Windows desktop and select Software Center from your applications (or, you can find Panopto in AppsAnywhere if you are at Missouri S&T).
2. Select Panopto Recorder from the list of available applications.
3. Select the Install button that appears on the following page.
4. If you are unable to find Panopto or have trouble accessing Software Center or AppsAnywhere, contact your university IT department for assistance.

If you are using a personal device

1. From your Canvas site, select Panopto Video in your course navigation menu.
2. Select Create and then select Record a new session from the drop-down menu.
3. Select Download Panopto in the pop-up window (see Fig. 1).

4. Save the .pkg recorder file to your computer.
5. After the download is complete, select the .pkg file to run the installation wizard. The file is most likely in your Downloads folder (see Fig. 2).

6. Select Continue in the Install Panopto Recorder window (see Fig. 3).

7. Proceed through the wizard to Install Software. Enter your username and password for the computer and select the button.
8. After Panopto is installed, select Move to Trash.
9. Once Panopto has been installed, open the Panopto app. You will be asked to sign into your Panopto account by following the prompts (see Fig. 4).
