Requesting a self-enroll Canvas course

Canvas Catalog allows a Canvas organization or non-credit course site to be listed publicly as a self-enroll site for UM System users and non-UM System users to register to as a student. 

⚠️Note: For organization sites, you have the option to rename your course site. If this needs to be reflected on the registration page, please have this done beforehand. If you want participants to only be able to register and access the organization for specific dates, please add course participation dates before we list your organization as a self-enroll site. 

Information needed

  • The link to your Canvas organization site (If you have not created one yet, please use the CRS to request an org site)
  • A brief summary of your self-enroll site
  • A longer description of your self-enroll site

Canvas course sites can be set-up for self-enrollment via Canvas Catalog, allowing public users (UM System and non-UM System users) to register to the organization or non-credit course site as a student.
