Setting up the VitalSource Bookshelf/Yuzu eReader app on Windows, Mac, or Chromebook

Where to download the app

VitalSource makes an off-line eReader for Windows, Mac, and Chromebook. It is possible to download it from Canvas, but that adds additional steps. We recommend you download it directly from one of these links.

For MU, UMKC, and UMSL (VitalSource Bookshelf):

• Windows
• Mac
• Chromebook

For Missouri S&T (Yuzu eReader):

• Windows
• Mac
• Chromebook – this is the same as the Android version.

Instructions

1. Download the appropriate version of the app. Follow the instructions on the download page or the usual installation methods for your operating system.
2. Open the VitalSource Bookshelf or Yuzu eReader app. You should see a login prompt.
3. Enter the UM System email that you use with Canvas. (Missouri S&T users will use the login they use to order or purchase textbooks through The S&T Store.)
4. You will either be passed straight through into the app or prompted to download the book.
5. To find books you can already access and download, select My Library
