Request Off Informational Notification

  • If an employee would still like to submit a PTO request or off-block request for a day that has reached the department’s request limit, the employee will see the following notification:

  • This notification does not mean that the request cannot be submitted or will be denied — it is meant to inform you that there is a large volume of requests for the selected day(s) and may lead to the request being denied if safe staffing is a concern. To submit a request anyways, select the “Submit Anyway” button at the bottom right corner.

Employees can also utilize the calendar view to see which days have more requests:

The red triangle means the requests limit has been met; additional requests may not be approved.

  • The yellow triangle means requests have been submitted but the limit has not yet been met. Requests are still likely to be approved without issue.

  • The grey circle means no requests are allowed for this day.

  • The purple block  means you are already scheduled for a shift.

  • The grey circle check mark means your time off request has been submitted.

  • The green circle check mark means your time off request has been approved.

  • If there is no triangle, then there have been no requests submitted for this day and there is a high chance of the request being approved.

Reminders for staff

  • Only six off blocks are permitted per 6-week schedule. The usage of more than six off blocks will lead to requests being denied or viewed as a lower priority.

  • If PTO is utilized, please enter the correct number of hours to be utilized. PTO may be utilized in lieu of picking up shifts to meet FTE requirements.
