Request Off Informational Notification
Summary
Starting Jan. 23, UKG will include a new informational notification to help employees request time off.
This update gives visibility into days when departments are seeing a high number of PTO and off-block requests. While not a guarantee of approval or denial, it’s a helpful tool for planning — choosing a day with fewer requests may increase the likelihood staff requests are approved.

This notification does not mean that the request cannot be submitted or will be denied — it is meant to inform you that there is a large volume of requests for the selected day(s) and may lead to the request being denied if safe staffing is a concern. To submit a request anyways, select the “Submit Anyway” button at the bottom right corner.
Employees can also utilize the calendar view to see which days have more requests:
The red triangle means the requests limit has been met; additional requests may not be approved.

The yellow triangle means requests have been submitted but the limit has not yet been met. Requests are still likely to be approved without issue.

The grey circle means no requests are allowed for this day.
