Installing Microsoft Authenticator App:

  2. Select Open when it has finished installing.

Connecting your University Account to the Authenticator App

  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.Microsoft Authenticator app icon.
  2. Select the Plus button located at the top of your phone screen.Plus button circled.
  3. Select Work or school account.Work or school account option circled.
  4. Select Sign in.Sign-in button circled.
  5. Enter your university username@umsystem.edu email account and select Next.Next button circled.
  6. Enter your password and select Sign In.Sign-in button circled.
  7. Select either Text or Call to authenticate. Follow the prompts to finish authenticating.Verify your identity page. Enter code page.

  9. The Microsoft Authenticator app will prompt for user verification using biometrics (face or fingerprint) or PIN.Creating Passkey loading screen.
  10. The account has been added. If you do not wish to add any other authentication methods to your account on the app, select Done.Done button circled.
