Recovering deleted items

This feature can help if you have deleted something and would like to recover it. However, it is not a perfect repository of information deleted from your Canvas site. In cases where you are not able to locate a deleted item contact teachingtools@umsystem.edu.

How to use the undelete option

1. Within Canvas, navigate to the course's Home page 
2. In the address bar, type /undelete at the end of the course URL, press Enter/Return, see Fig. 1.

3. The Restore Deleted Items page will appear and display a list of restorable items.
4. Select Restore next to the item you want to recover, see Fig. 2.

5. A pop-up window will appear to confirm the changes, select OK, see Fig. 3.

6. After confirming the change, the item should be placed in the original spot in the course.
