Checklist for awarding Badges in a Canvas site

In the free version of Badgr, badges are awarded automatically when requirements on Canvas Modules are met.

To set up badges and configure the modules, follow the steps below.

  1. Enable Badgr in your Canvas site
  2. Create modules and module items
  3. Set up module requirements
  4. Creating badges as an issuer in Badgr
  5. Publish the modules 
  6. Publish the Canvas site

Warning

  • Badgr will not award badges when using the Canvas "test student" feature as a teacher. Badgr must have access to an email address to award badges.
