Creating and sharing Panopto videos to Canvas from your personal folder for students

Students with UMsystem SSOs can sign-in to Panopto directly to view, create and manage recordings they have access to. 

1. Access Panopto in your browser.
2. Enter your UMsystem Single Sign On (SSO) username and password to sign-in.
3. Select the green Create button at the top of the page (See Fig. 1).

4. Select the desired recording methods. You can record with Panopto or upload existing files from computer.
5. By default the videos will be stored in My Folder once the recording was stopped and uploaded to Panopto (See Fig. 2). Figure 2: My Folder in Panopto
6. You can now share the recordings in discussion boards with the whole class, or in assignments with the instructors.
