For some exams, your instructor may require you to install the Honorlock Desktop Application in addition to using the Honorlock Chrome extension. When required, you will be prompted to install the application when you launch your exam, (See Fig. 1). Administrator rights are required for installation; you can remove the application after the exam if you wish.

Once installed, you will be prompted to relaunch Chrome before proceeding to the Honorlock authentication process. For further details and troubleshooting information, please refer to the Honorlock Application Test Taker guide. You can also use the Honorlock support chat for assistance.
⚠️Note: The Honorlock Application works on Windows and Mac, but cannot be installed on a Chromebook. Chromebook users can still access Honorlock-enabled exams, but cannot use the application's features. If you are using a Chromebook, you may wish to notify your instructor in advance of the exam.
⚠️Note: The Honorlock Application requires admin access to the device for installation, which may not be permitted on a managed device, such as a shared computer, a University-managed computer, or in a computer lab.
