This article addresses the basic questions about the Annual Online Mandatory (AOM) modules. Please read through the information below to learn more.
Commonly abbreviated as "AOMs," Annual Online Mandatories are a series of modules that each employee must complete annually as a condition of employment. These modules cover compliance, safety and emergency management, infection control and more for all staff.
AOMs are meant to provide training to employees as required to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and other MU Health Care community members. AOMs also ensure we comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
Employees are also required to complete AOMs as outlined in policy HR-1007 as a condition of continued employment. This process is reviewed by DNV during annual accreditation surveys. Failure to complete training by the deadline can include disciplinary action up to and including termination. Additionally, employees who fail to complete training by the deadline will not be eligible for general wage/merit increases. Technical difficulties will not be considered a valid reason for incompletion so please complete your assigned modules before the deadline.
