About Creating a New Knowledge Article

This is an overview of how to create a new knowledge article in TDX.
Process
To create a new Knowledge Article
- Click on Knowledge Base
- Click on the Category where you want to locate the Article
- Click on +New Article

To configure the New Article
- Enter the Category where this article will reside.
- Enter the Subject of the Article
- Select the Informational article template

Begin editing the Knowledge Article
- Update the About name for the Article
- Write a description of what the article is about.
- Update any links that you want to include in the article. This could be links to other web or Sharepoint sites, to Process Guides or articles stored in Teams, or Videos on the web or stroed within the network environment. *Note: Be sure that the sharing is set correctly for the audience you are making this Knowledge Article available to.
- Identify Features or Steps for your article and update accordingly.
- Update details as appropriate.

Set Permissions for the Knowledge Article
To set permissions for an internal Knowledge Article (article is only accessible by an TDX Group(s))
- Click on the 'Permissions' tab when creating/editing the KA
- Uncheck the 'Inherit Permissions' box
- Uncheck the 'Public' box
- Under Article permissions choose the 'Allow ONLY the associated groups below to view the article' radial.
- Under 'Add Groups' choose the group(s) which you want to have access to the article.
