Overview
Direct Links to MU Connect make it easier for students to find the right person or service quickly because they send students straight to a profile page or appointment scheduling page without requiring them to search in their Success Network. Remember to keep your Institutional Profile updated so students have the most accurate information when they click your link.
Note: You cannot use or view your own Direct Link to schedule an appointment for a student. Direct Links are designed for students to schedule with you (or another staff member), not for staff to schedule on behalf of themselves or other staff.
Direct Links can be included in:
- Email signatures
- Messages to students
- Websites
- Any student-facing materials or platforms
How Direct Links Work
- Link to schedule an appointment with me - takes the student directly to your MU Connect appointment scheduling page
- Link to view my profile - takes the student directly to your MU Connect profile page, including your overview and biography
Enabling Your Direct Links

Go to MU Connect and log in using your MU username and password.

Click the menu icon in the upper left corner of the page.

Click your name.

Click Edit Profile.

Scroll to the Share Links section (under Profile Settings header)

Check the boxes to enable:

Once checked, your links will be available for other staff to share within the Services page. You can also copy these links to place in your own communications.
Sharing Another Staff Member's Direct Link
This is the method to use if you are referring a student to another person.

Click the menu icon on the upper left corner of the page.

Select Services.

Search for the person or service in the Search Services and People search bar.

On the left side of the page, click Copy Link next to the desired link (Appointment or Profile). The link will be copied to your clipboard.

Paste it into your email, message, or other communication.
Note: Only staff and instructors can see Direct Links on service pages; students cannot.
Need Help?
Staff may not be able to view their own or other staff members' direct links because of the relationships required to see a profile or set an appointment. If you have any questions, run into issues, or if you'd like to test the link, please email: muconnectsupport@missouri.edu.
