Users running macOS 10.14 or higher will be prompted to allow Zoom to access the computer's microphone, camera, and other systems. Users with UM System controlled computers will need to work with their IT department for the proper authorization.

How to grant or edit permissions
For users with OS administrator access, the following steps will guide you through granting Zoom permission to function properly on your device.
Note: You can also check Apple Support for steps on how to change your Mac’s privacy and security settings.
- In the top-left corner, click the Apple logo .
- Select System Settings.
- Choose Privacy & Security.
- Under Privacy, click the permission you need to change.
- Toggle the switch to change zoom or Zoom Rooms permissions. If you’re currently using Zoom, you’ll be prompted to restart the app for the new settings to take effect.
Note: If you need to allow other permissions, repeat steps 4–5 for any additional permissions you need to enable.
