Purchase Software

UMKC Information Services offers software purchasing services and expertise in product consultation, vendor contracts, volume license agreements, approval facilitation, and purchase/delivery processing. All software installed on any UMKC owned device is subject to UMKC's review and approval process, as are any software subscriptions or Software-as-a-service titles accessed through a web browser. This includes zero-cost items.

Technology services such as technology consulting, web development/web hosting, technology support and maintenance agreements, and data access agreements are also subject to review and can also be requested with this form.

All licensed software must be purchased by UMKC IS. Personally purchased software/services are prohibited from installation on UMKC computers.

Faculty and staff, with approval from their fiscal officer(s), can submit requests for software purchases.

Use the License Order button on the right to submit a software purchasing request for Adobe, ESRI/ArcGIS, Grammarly, Microsoft, or OpenAI/ChatGPT software.  For all other products, use the Specialized Software Purchase button.
