Recruit and Retain

Service Overview

These programs are designed to attract new and existing employee to work in targeted areas or titles.

Available To

These programs are available to all MUHC employees who meet eligibility criteria.

Employees must meet the following criteria at the time of enrollment and for the duration of their program participation:

i. Must be benefit-eligible pursuant to C.R.R. 320.050 Employee Status and HR-101 Employee Status.

ii. Must maintain an appointment at HOSPT of at least .75 FTE, as reflected in the Human Resources Management System

iii. Must be working in a Target Position or High-Target Position from the time of enrollment through completion of their commitment period. Target and High-Target Positions are assessed on a quarterly basis.  Please log into the Recruit & Retain to see if you are in an eligible position. 

iv. Must not be actively fulfilling their commitment as an MU Health Care Nurse Scholarship recipient.

Features

New and existing employees may elect to participate in one (1) of the Recruitment & Retention Programs listed below. Employees may not participate in more than one (1) Recruitment & Retention Program at a time.

i. Student Loan Repayment Program (“SLRP”): In exchange for a commitment to work in a Target Position for a period of five (5) years, MUHC will pay up to $166.67 per month towards the Employee Participant’s student loan debt, up to a total of $10,000.00.

ii. Retention Reward Program (“RRP”): In exchange for a commitment to work in a Target Position for a period of five (5) years, MUHC will make lump sum payments of $2,000.00 to Employee Participants at the end of each 12-month period following enrollment for the duration of the commitment period.

iii. Enhanced Retention Reward Program (“ERRP”): In exchange for a commitment to work in a High-Target Position for a period of twenty-four (24) months, MUHC will make lump sum payments in the amounts of $5,000 after the Participant successfully completes 6 months following enrollment, $3,000 after 12 months following enrollment, and $2,000 after completion of 24 months following enrollment.
