Please visit our website: Student Vetting:
Overview:
MU Health Care student vetting offers individuals the opportunity to complete clinical hours at our facilities as a key component of their requirements for their degree completion. Our goal is to provide a great learning experience for students while continuing to provide safe, quality care for our patients.
Required Affiliation Agreements
MU Health Care must have an active Educational Agreement with your institution for you to complete clinicals with us. This process can take up to three months if you do not already have an agreement in place. If you do not already have an agreement, please reach out to the student vetting specialist at umhshrstudent@health.missouri.edu to get one started.
Step 1: Create a Clinician Nexus Account
To create your profile as your school's designated School Coordinator, please visit our Clinician Nexus.
MU Health Care uses this free service as a vetting platform for our educational partners. Once school coordinators, instructors, faculty and students create a profile, they will be able to connect with our clinical opportunities. All clinical compliance requirements will be submitted via Clinician Nexus.
If you have any questions or issues, Clinician Nexus offers one-on-one assistance and support. Once you have created your account, you can click on the chat icon in the bottom right of your screen or click on Support in the Clinician Nexus menu on the left of your screen to get additional assistance.
Step 2: Fill Out Vetting Form
Once you have arranged a clinical placement, please complete the following form to start the vetting process: Student Vetting Opportunity Form (qualtrics.com).
If you have questions or need assistance in securing a student vetting opportunity, contact umhshrstudent@health.missouri.edu.
Step 3: Submit Vetting Requirements
MU Health Care requires your school or institution to provide documentation of all vetting requirements via Clinician Nexus. Specific vetting requirements will be located in Clinician Nexus. Please log into Clinician Nexus for specific instructions related to each onboarding step. The student will complete steps 1-5, while the school coordinator will handle steps 6-9. These steps are usually located at the bottom of the onboarding checklist.
