ID Card Not Working in Campus Building Doors

Users wanting access to buildings on campus (excluding Hospital and Res Hall Access) should contact their Supervisor or the Building Coordinator of the building in which the door is located. Building Coordinators are typically responsible for the security of all the interior and exterior doors of a building. Via appropriate access in the Campus Door System, they coordinate the locking and unlocking of doors, and enable campus cards at door access readers by "assigning the person to the reader".

The Building Coordinator is best able to troubleshoot campus door access problems, using card logs that tell what card should be used, and what card is being used; if the cardholder is assigned to the reader; etc.

Where help can be found:

  • Campus Door access - Building Coordinator
  • Res Hall access - Res Life (882-4440, ext. 1)
  • Hospital Door access - Hospital Security (882-7147)
  • Hospital ID Card - Hospital HR (882-8187)

The ID Office does not assign door access.
