Connect Windows 10 to TigerWiFi Manually

How do I connect Windows 10 to TigerWiFi manually?

Answer

 

  1. From the Desktop, select the Wireless Quick Launch Icon in the bottom right corner by the date and time.
  2. From the Start Menu, open Control Panel, then select Network and Internet.
  3. Select WiFi.
  4. Select Manage Known Networks.
  5. Click Forget Any TigerWiFi Networks.
  6. Click the back arrow.
  7. Select Status.
  8. Select Open Network and Sharing Center or Network and Sharing Center.
  9. Select Set up a new connection or network.
  10. Select Manually create a network profile. Type TigerWiFi in the Network Name box.
  11. Choose WPA2-Enterprise from the Security type drop-down menu.
  12. Make sure the Start this connection automatically box is checked and click Next.
  13. Click Change connection settings.
  14. Under the Connection tab check the Connect automatically when this network is in range box.
  15. Click the Security tab.
  16. Click Settings.
  17. In the Trusted Root Certification Authorities list, check the Mizzou FreeRADIUS Certificate Authority and Verisign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority-G5 box.
    Note: If you do not see Mizzou FreeRADIUS Certificate Authority in the list, you will need to install it manually.
  18. Click Configure.
  19. Uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name & password.
  20. Click OK twice to close the two most recent windows.
  21. Click Advanced Settings
  22. Under 802.1 X Settings tab check the Specify authentication mode box.
  23. Choose User authentication from the drop-down menu.
  24. Click Save credentials.
  25. If there is a Logon Domain box, enter the Domain, followed by \, and your Username (example: tigers\username). If not, skip to step 22.
    • UM-AD - For MU Students and Faculty
    • UMHS-USERS - For University Hospital System employees.
  1. Enter your username and MyZou password.
  2. Click OK three times.
  3. Click Close.
  • If a window pops up asking if you want to Connect or Don't connect, choose Connect.
  • If it doesn't connect automatically, select the Wireless Quick Launch Icon in the bottom right corner by the date and time again and connect to TigerWiFi. You shouldn't be asked for login information.

Note: If there are still problems connecting to TigerWiFi, try replacing Step 13 with the following: Uncheck the Validate server certificate box.
