How do I get my computer name from Software Center (MacOS)?

Answer

Note: Software Center needs the campus network. Off campus, connect to the VPN first: see How to connect to VPN using Mac.

1. In Software Center, scroll down to My Computer Information and click on View.

2. The My Computer Information window will appear.

3. The computer name and other information is automatically placed in your clipboard.

4. To close My Computer Information window, click on OK.
