The Dropped to Part Time attribute identifies students who were enrolled full-time and have since dropped below 12 credit hours. The attribute is active from before the start of the term through Week 9. The attribute will be used to raise a flag and send an email to the student beginning the first week of classes and continuing until the last day to add a second 8-week course. Students in online degree programs and marked as part-time in myZou will be excluded. This process provides an early opportunity to identify students whose enrollment changes may impact their academic progress, financial aid, or overall success.
When the attribute is applied and flag is raised, students automatically receive an email with appropriate resources and support.
Part-time Academic Load designation:
Students identified as part-time students under "Academic Load" in myZou will not receive this attribute. If students do intend to be part-time students, academic load can be updated in the Academic tab, Term data section. Part-time status may affect financial aid, tuition, residency, housing, military benefits, Dean's List eligibility, and graduation timing. Students should consult the appropriate offices before requesting or confirming a change.

Remember to look at the Academic Calendar for important enrollment deadlines. In most cases, you can update your schedule in myZou as long as there are no holds on your account.
