Kudos is used by MU Health Care to recognize and reward our employees for their efforts and support for our teams, our patients and our community. Kudos points can be used in an online rewards store for various items.

Description

Kudos is MU Health Care’s employee recognition and engagement platform, designed to celebrate colleagues and highlight the positive impact they make on our culture, our teams, and our community.

 

Employees can choose to select various categories to give thanks to others across the organization. The categories are as follows: 

  • Thank you! 
  • Good job!
  • Impressive! 
  • Exceptional! 

Leaders have “points” they can distribute to employees and those can be redeemed through the Kudos Rewards+ portal to purchase merchandise or gift cards.  

Employees can use earned Kudos points and their own funds to purchase items from the Kudos Rewards+ portal.

Three Levels of Kudos Support

  1. Employee Engagement Support – Employee Relations Team

    • Focus: Guidance on using Kudos to engage and recognize employees, provide positive feedback, and strengthen team culture.
    • Examples: How to give recognition, best practices for fostering engagement.
    • Submit a Service Request Service Offering - Kudos
  2. Technical Support – HR Information Systems (HRIS) Team

    • Focus: Resolving account and points-related issues.
    • Examples:
      • Login problems (inactive or missing accounts)
      • Questions about points redemption
      • Leaders without points to distribute
    • Leader Point Eligibility:
      • MUHC Leaders: Based on Manager Level designation in job code
      • SOM Leaders: Based on having direct reports (reports_to = leader’s position number)
    • Submit a Service Request Service - Kudos Technical Inquiries
  3. Advanced Technical Support – Kudos Vendor Team

    • Focus: Platform functionality and technical troubleshooting.
    • Examples:
      • Issues with web vs. mobile access
      • Supported browsers
      • System Notifications not received (E.g., Redemptions, Kudos awards, etc.)
      • How to use platform features
    • Important:
      • Vendor cannot activate accounts or redeem points
      • If unsure, submit your issue to AskHR; we’ll escalate to Kudos if needed.
