The Missouri Science and Technology Research and Innovation Data Ecosystem (STRIDE) is a collection of resources and infrastructure designed to support research data. STRIDE is provided and supported by the Research Support Solutions department of IT in collaboration with the Missouri S&T Library.
To support active research, two tiers of storage are connected to our campus HPC resource, the Mill, with 100Gb/s Infiniband: 250TB of high-performance all flash storage (VAST) and 800TB of HDD utility storage (Ceph). These systems are also connected to campus research spaces with 10Gb/s ethernet to enable non-HPC use.
To support collaboration, the Mill hosts a Globus endpoint, allowing data transfer into and out of STRIDE with thousands of participating organizations. The Globus endpoint is connected to the Mill with 10Gb/s ethernet and to research spaces on campus with 1Gb/s ethernet.
For completed work, Scholars Mine provides unlimited storage to students and faculty for metadata tagged and indexed research datasets. This resource assists faculty in meeting FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) data management principles required by their data management plans.
