Question
How do I dial long distance on Cisco IP phones?
Answer
Cisco IP phones do not require a Long Distance Authorization Code in order to place long distance calls. Instead, you just dial the number and the relevant charges will be applied to the MoCode assigned to the phone. Long distance calling restrictions apply.
If you cannot make long distance calls of a given type (statewide, international, etc), then your phone is probably not configured to place calls of that type. In order to get this changed, you must:
- Go to doitservices.missouri.edu.
- Log in to the self-service portal with your University username and password.
- Click the Request Services tile.
- In the SEARCH box, type the words, Long Distance, and select Request Long Distance.
- Complete the information.
- Click Submit.
