How do I request a new phone service?
Answer
Follow these steps to make a request for new phone service:
- Log in to the DoIT Service Portal.
- Click the Request Services tile.
- Scroll down and click on Networking & Telecom.
- Scroll up and click on University Phone Service.
- Click on the type of phone request:
- Request an Individual Employee Phone
- Request a Department Phone
- Request a Conference Room Phone
- Request a Public Phone
- Request Telephone Equipment Rental
- Complete the information in the Contact Information area.
- If this request is for someone else, click the Submit on Behalf of Someone Else button and search for the person.
- Complete the information in the Location Information area.
- Type the first letter of the name of the building to skip to that area of the list. For example, type the letter L in the box, and then use the drop-down button and scroll to find the Locust Street Bldg.
- Complete the information in the Phone Configuration Information area.
- If you are requesting Telephone Equipment Rental you will see a Request Information area instead of the Phone Configuration Information area.
- Select the Scheduling Information.
- If you are requesting Telephone Equipment Rental, you will not see an option to select Select Scheduling Information.
- In the Payment Information area, enter the MoCode that this request will be charged to. The signer and other information appears.
- If you are not sure what your MoCode is, contact your supervisor or your departmental fiscal officer.
- Click on the signer’s name and their information will auto-fill the Authorized Signer Name and Authorized Signer Email.
- Click the Submit button (at the top of the page) to complete your request.
