How do I move a VoIP phone?

Answer

Yes, It is possible to move your VoIP phone (Cisco, etc) to another location. The new location must have an active data port for the Ethernet cable.

To request data port activation:

  1. You may reach out to your IT Pro Department or Complete form here: Request Campus Data Port Assistance. Please note: A manual approval of a valid MoCode by an authorized signer required. You may use the MoCode lookup tool located in the form
  2. Click the Submit button (at the bottom of the form).

After moving the phone, submit a request to update the phone's location in the Telecom billing system.

To submit a request to update the location of the phone:

  1. Complete this form, Modify Phone. Please note: A manual approval of a valid MoCode by an authorized signer required. You may use the MoCode lookup tool located in the form
  2. Click the Submit button (at the bottom of the form).
