Adding Students to the ChemDraw Student License Group

Overview

With the transition to Single Sign-On (SSO), ChemDraw licenses are now linked to the user’s University SSO ID (formerly known as pawprint) rather than individual computers. To grant students access, they must be added to the “ChemDraw Student” license group by the Software Sales team.

Detailed Information

Steps:

  1. Have Students Sign FERPA Release

    • Because Revvity, the vendor for ChemDraw, does not sign the University’s FERPA agreements, each student requesting ChemDraw access must complete a release form.

    • The FERPA release template is available in Canvas Commons. For help locating the template email Academic Technology AT@missouri.edu

    • For questions regarding this policy, please contact the Registrar’s Office directly.

  1. Prepare Your Student List

Create a list of students who need ChemDraw access. Include the following for each student:

  • Full Name of student

  • University Single Sign-On (SSO) ID (formerly pawprint)

Name

SSO ID

Truman Tiger

  1. Submit Your List:

Submit a TeamDynamix (TDX) request for ChemDraw Assistance.

  • Link to TDX form: ChemDraw Assistance Form)

  • Ensure the ticket description clearly states: “Request to add students to ChemDraw Student license group.”

  • Attach the list to the ticket or copy/paste the list into the description.

  1. Software Sales Team Action

    • Upon receiving the TDX request, the Software Sales team will:

      • Add each student’s SSO ID to the ChemDraw Student license group in the Software License Tool.

      • Confirm completion in the ticket.
