How do I create a new Guest Collection using Globus?
Answer
Warning: Top level shares or collections should not be used as a Guest Collection.
* Note: This window should not be presented on subsequent Guest Collection creations.
1. In File Manager, navigate to the folder path you wish to Share / create as a new Guest Collection. Click on Share in the right pane.
2. Collections Tab is displayed. Click on Add Guest Collection on right side.
3. The Create new Guest Collection window is displayed:
a. Verify your User Credential and Globus Identity are correct.
b. Verify Directory is correct.
c. Enter Display Name, Description, and Keywords for new Guest Collection
d. Click on Create Collection.
4. The first time creating Guest Collection, an authorization error may occur, click on Continue. *
Proceed to step 8 if no error occurred.
5. Click on your email address to select your identity to use. *
6. Click on Allow to allow Globus to manage your data. *
7. The Create new Guest Collection window is re-displayed:
a. Verify your User Credential and Globus Identity are correct.
b. Verify Directory is correct.
c. Enter Display Name, Description, and Keywords for new Guest Collection.
d. Click on Create Collection.
8. The new Guest Collection window is displayed with Permissions tab selected.
