How do I get my computer name from Software Center (Windows)?

 

Answer

Note: Computer must be connected to the campus networks to access shares.

1. Open Windows Search by pressing Windows + S keys simultaneously.

2. In the Search box, type Software Center.

Type the text Software Center in the Windows Search box width.

 

3. Click on Software Center App icon to launch Software Center.

4. In Software Center:

a. Select Applications in left hand pane.

b. Scroll down until you find the "My - Computer Information" application.

c. Click on My - Computer Information.

5. Click on Install or Open to launch My - Computer Information.

6. Click on Capture Screenshot to Clipboard to save the information to the Clipboard.
