Can I run my job more than 48 hours?

Yes, but it depends on the partition you are using. 

• Investment or Priority partition users 

  • Can run jobs longer than 48 hours 

  • Maximum runtime is up to 28 days, calculated from the start of the cluster maintenance cycle 

• Non-investment (General) partition users 

  • Are restricted to a maximum of 48 hours per job 

  • Jobs exceeding this limit will not be allowed to run 

• Checkpointing option for non-investors 

  • Non-investment users may use checkpointing, if supported by their application 

  • This allows unfinished jobs to be stopped and restarted later from the last saved state, even though each individual job must stay within the 48-hour limit
