Overview
This kudo works best when it recognizes growth rather than perfection. When customizing this kudo, try to call out a specific improvement, reinforce the behavior behind it, and encourage the student to keep going. Think broadly about what "improvement" means. It doesn't have to be a higher grade. Recognize improvements in attendance, participation, assignment completion, study habits, discussion board engagement, asking questions, attending office hours, confidence and effort, timeliness, collaboration, etc.
Use the examples below as a starting point when raising a Showing Improvement kudo in MU Connect. The templates are organized into three different tones, but they're meant to be used as a guide. Copy and paste the example as written, combine elements from multiple examples, and add course-specific details to recognize the student's accomplishment. Even a brief personalized note can make your message more meaningful.

Formal Tone
- Your recent assignments show clear improvement, and your hard work is reflected in your stronger performance. Continue using the study habits and preparation strategies that are helping you succeed.
- I have noticed steady progress in both your class participation and the quality of your work. Your continued effort is making a positive difference. Keep building on this momentum!
- Your most recent paper demonstrated significant improvement compared to earlier work this semester. Keep reviewing feedback and applying what you've learned as we move forward.
- You have made noticeable improvements by attending class more regularly and completing assignments on time. These positive changes are contributing to your success. Keep up the great work!
- Your recent discussion board contributions and assignment submissions show much stronger engagement with the course. Continue participating consistently and meeting deadlines to maintain your progress.
Friendly Tone
- You've made great progress lately! Your recent assignments show how much your effort is paying off. Keep working hard!
- I appreciate that you've been participating more in class and asking thoughtful questions. Those small changes are adding up, and it's great to see your confidence growing. Keep it up!
