Clearing Late Flags in the Canvas Gradebook

Sometimes it is necessary to remove late flags from student submissions. 

Clearing Late Flags

Late flags may be removed either through Speedgrader or the spreadsheet view of the Canvas Gradebook. In both instances, it is a manual process that must be carried out one student at a time.

Speedgrader Method

In Speedgrader: 

1. Select the Pencil Icon next to the date of the submission. 
2. Change the flag setting from Late to None.
3. Select Submit.

Spreadsheet-view Method

In the spreadsheet view: 

1. Locate a submission highlighted as late. 
2. Mouse into that cell and select the arrow icon to open the sidebar. 
3. Change the flag from Late to None.
