WVP or BERT – Which Certification is Required?

Summary

WVP or BERT – Which Certification is Required?

Body

To initially attend BERT, an employee must first complete WVP High as a prerequisite. Once BERT is completed, WVP High will no longer be required, and BERT will become the annual renewal requirement. This process is automatically updated in SABA to reflect the correct certification requirements, except for Charge RN roles.

Since there is no designated job code for Charge RN, their job code defaults to requiring the WVP High Risk certification, which cannot be automatically removed. However, if a ticket is submitted, the education department can manually update the WVP High certification to align with the BERT completion dates.

Non-completion of required education is at the discretion of leadership.
