Purpose:

This article provides guidance for the Extra Shift Plan changes effective September 6, 2026. These changes include the deactivation of the Extra Shift Plans. Effective September 6, 2026, Extra Shift Plan premiums will no longer be available for applicable shifts worked under these plans.


Effective Date:

The Extra Shift Plans are scheduled to deactivate effective September 6, 2026.

What is changing on September 6, 2026?

Effective September 6, 2026, the Extra Shift Plans will be deactivated.

Extra Shift Plan premiums should not be applied to shifts worked on or after September 6, 2026.


Updated plan documents:

Please refer to the plan documents found on the Compensation Home Page for eligibility, plan details, applicable titles, premium amounts, and plan-specific requirements for any applicable shifts worked prior to September 6, 2026.

The plans that are deactivating are:

  • CRMC Critical Care to Extra Shift
  • Clinics, Labs, Registration - Shift pickup Plan
  • Extra Shifts Guidelines Plan

UKG pay codes:

For shifts worked prior to September 6, 2026, users should refer to the applicable plan document for the correct Regular and Overtime pay codes.

For shifts worked on or after September 6, 2026, Extra Shift Plan UKG pay codes should no longer be used.


Important:

Always verify that the employee, title, department, and shift meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the applicable plan document before applying a UKG pay code.
