Preceptor Eligibility

Employees eligible to receive Preceptor pay must complete the required educational requirements in order for UKG to reflect “Preceptor Pay Qualified” or “PPQ”.

According to HR 5036 MUHC Preceptor Pay policy, employees receive Preceptor Pay for the hours they are assigned by the leadership to work as Preceptors on or after 5/28/2-23 if they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the policy.  

• Once the initial WBT285: Preceptor Expectations and Policy course is completed in Cornerstone SBX, the code PPQ (Preceptor Pay Qualified) will show under Certifications in UKG with an expiration date 1 year after the course was completed.  

• To maintain eligibility, both courses in the Preceptor Fellowship must be completed within 12 months of completing the initial WBT285 course.  

• Once both courses are completed, the expiration date will be removed. 

• If the courses are not completed in the 12 months time frame, employees will not be eligible to receive Preceptor Pay.
