Summary

Effective November 23rd, inpatient nursing employees covered by Centralized Timekeeping and Scheduling will need to self-schedule in UKG to meet their required FTE.

Body

Effective November 23rd, inpatient nursing employees covered by Centralized Timekeeping and Scheduling will need to self-schedule in UKG to meet their required FTE. Failure to self-schedule to required FTE will result in shifts being assigned to the schedule where department need is greatest.

Effective December 6th, CT&S will pull a list of employees who have not yet scheduled to their FTE. Leaders will be notified of employees who failed to self-schedule to meet their FTE and shifts will be assigned to them where the department has the greatest need.

Helpful Reminders:

  • Do not schedule for overlapping or duplicative shifts

  • Employees can use PTO to meet FTE requirements

  • 6 off-blocks are permitted in a 6-week period. Excessive use of off-blocks may result in off-block requests being denied

  • PRNs are required to self-schedule a minimum of 24 hours in a 6-week period
