Introduction to the employee profile
At MU Health Care, we are committed to helping you grow and evolve your skill set to support your continued success. One of the tools available to you is the Phenom Employee Profile on our internal career site. This profile is a collection of information about you—some is imported from PeopleSoft and some you provide directly. It serves as a personalized snapshot of your professional background, interests, and career goals.
Why is completing your profile important?
Completing your profile is important for multiple reasons:
- Plays a key role in how Human Resources supports your career development.
- You must complete your employee profile before you apply for a new role.
- The internal application does not include options to input work history, education, or credentials.
- Your employee profile is the only place where you can share this critical information for the Talent Acquisition team to accurately assess your candidacy for a role.
- HR may also use your profile when conducting wage analysis, designing new career pathways, and collaborating with your leadership team to identify advancement opportunities.
- Unlocks personalized job recommendations tailored to your experience and aspirations on our internal career site.
How to access your employee profile
- Go to the MU Health Care career site.
- Click on Employee Login in the upper right corner.

- If you are not already logged into your SSO, enter your UM System SSO credentials.
- If this is your first-time logging into the internal career site, you will see the screen below asking you to consent to MU Health Care’s referral and privacy policies.

Required employee profile components
All MU Health Care employees are required to keep the following sections of their profile up to date at all times:
- Skills
- Education
- Work Experience
- Certificate & license (if applicable)
- Preferred Job Category
- Preferred Location
To complete the Skills, Education, and Work Experience sections, start by uploading your resume or manually entering each component in the appropriate profile section.
- IMPORTANT: Whether you share your experience through a resume or manual entry, you must list all of your education and paid work experience on your profile.
- We strongly encourage you to upload a resume if you have one, as the system automatically parses skills from your resume to include on your profile.
- If something parses from your resume incorrectly, you may manually edit your experience at any time.
To enter your certificates and/or licenses (if applicable), find the “Share your achievements with your colleagues” section and the “+Certificate & License” button. Enter any relevant certificate(s) or license(s) you hold. If you do not have any Certificate or License, do not list anything in this section.
After entering your Skills, Education, Work Experience, and Certificates/Licenses (if applicable), configure your account settings to designate whether you want this information visible only to you or every employee at MU Health Care.
- If you make this information visible to everyone, any MU Health Care employee will be able to view this information on the Employees page of the internal career site.
- The intention of making information visible to others is that employees can see what skills and experiences helped you get your current role.
- You are not required to make any information visible to all employees.
To configure this setting, click your initials in the upper right corner and Account Settings:

Then, under Profile Visibility, choose the visibility of each field:
