How to Terminate an employee in PeopleSoft by ePAF

How to terminate an employee in PeopleSoft by ePAF. Employees transferring within the MU system should not be terminated.
Body
- Login to PeopleSoft at hrprd.umsystem.edu. From your landing page, click on "ePAF Homepage."

- In the search box at the upper left-hand corner of the page, enter the Employee ID or name (last,first).

- Identify the appointment or position you will be terminating if there is more than one, and click on the dropdown immediately to the right of the employee's name.

- Select "Terminate" from the dropdown list.
- Fill in all the "Status Change Data," which includes:
- From the Action dropdown, select Termination
- From the Reason dropdown, select the reason that best describes the reason for separation. NOTE: "At-Will" require approval from HR leadership.
- The Effective Date is the day immediately following their last date worked.
- Last Date Worked is the last day the employee performed any work duties for MU Health Care. (Note: For night shift employees, this should be the last CALENDAR date they work. E.g., if their last scheduled shift will start on January 1 and end the morning of January 2, please list their last date worked as January 2.)
- In the "File Attachments" section, please upload copy of the Resignation Letter or Termination Letter.
- Once you have uploaded the document, make sure to select "Term/Resignation Letter" from the "Description" Dropdown.
- At the bottom of the form, click the “Submit” button.
- The Form Results page appears, confirming that your form has been successfully submitted and routed to the next approval step.
