Keeping the University’s and your personal information secure is a top priority. As employees, we all have a responsibility to keep our information secure to safeguard the University’s digital assets. For this reason, employees should never use or share their University login credentials with third-party applications like online banks. Banks such as Chime and SoFi may ask for your credentials to set up direct deposit. To protect your account, only update your direct deposit information through myHR.
Unauthorized sharing of login credentials can put the University at risk of data security incidents or IT service disruptions. The MU Division of IT monitors for suspicious logins and can restrict unauthorized login attempts to protect University information, which can cause temporary access restrictions on your account.
To securely change your direct deposit, log in to myHR > My Payroll > Direct Deposit and select “edit” to input your new direct deposit information.
- Log into myHR (myhr.umsystem.edu); and
- Select the “My Payroll” tile.
- In the left-hand menu, choose “Direct Deposit.”
- You can add or edit existing direct deposit banking information.
