Decommissioning of Linux CLC Machines
The Linux CLC machines will be decommissioned on July 1, 2025, and replaced by the Mill-Classes environment.
Launched in Spring 2024, the Mill-Classes environment provides a modern work area for class assignments, leveraging the powerful computing resources of our High-Performance Computing (HPC) Mill cluster. With the addition of OnDemand features, accessing a Linux environment for coursework is now faster and more user-friendly.
Information for Instructors
For Professors and GTAs: If you plan to use Mill-Classes for your course, you must request a course environment prior to the start of the semester. To do so, please submit a service request through our general HPC support form:
Submitting your request early ensures the environment is set up and ready for your students before classes begin.
Information for Students
Access to the Mill-Classes environment is granted based on course enrollment. You will be able to log in and use the Mill-Classes interface only if your instructor has officially set up your course to use this platform for the semester. Please refer to your course syllabus or instructor for details on its use.
