If your phone is configured with multiple line appearances so that you can quickly make/transfer calls to and monitor calling status of other phones in your office or department but do not wish for your phone to audibly ring when they receive calls, using this guide to silence lines you only wish to monitor.
For the purposes of this guide, we will be using the Soft Keys (the four buttons located directly below the LCD screen) and the Navigation Center (the directional buttons and OK button located at the bottom center of the phone).
- Open the Menu by pressing the corresponding Soft Key.
- Use the Navigation Center to select “3. Settings”. Press “OK” to confirm.
- Select “1. Basic Settings”. Press “OK” to confirm.
- Select “4. Sound”. Press “OK” to confirm.
- Select “1. Ring Tones”. Press “OK” to confirm.
- Select the Caller ID you want to modify. Press “OK” to confirm.
- Use the up and down directional keys to navigate to “9. Silent”. Press the button under “Save” on screen.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each line you would like to silence.
Note: If you would like to get to the Ringtone Settings faster you can press the “Menu” Soft Key and then “3 1 4 1” on the Dial Pad.
