This article contains troubleshooting instructions for students who cannot connect to the classes OnDemand portal for the Mill at mill-classes.mst.edu. This issue is often caused by corrupted browsing data.
Group Membership
If this is the first time you are connecting to the Mill and you are unable to access the Mill, it is possible that you are not in a class group. Your professor must add you to their class roster in the Mill before you will be allowed to log in to the Mill classes portal.
The helpdesk can check your groups using the Analyze User tool. They are located in the library, immediately to the left of the main entrance. They can also be reached at it.mst.edu/help-desk.
To access the Mill, you must be in the group rss-class-<class#>. If you are not in this group, you need to reach out to your class professor that is requiring Mill use. They have control over their class roster on the Mill and they will need to add you as a member of their class before you will be able to log in.
Incognito Mode
If you have been able to connect to the Mill before, it is possible that your browsing data has become corrupted. The simplest check is to access the website in incognito mode. Right click mill-classes.mst.edu and chose "Open link in incognito window" (Chrome) or "Open Link in New Private Window"(Firefox).
If you are able to access the OnDemand portal in incognito mode, then you can either continue using it to access the Mill or you can follow the steps in the next section to clear your browsing data, which should resolve the issue.
Clear Browsing Data
Chrome
To clear your browsing data in Chrome:
On the OnDemand site, click the options button at the start of the URL (1). Then select the "Cookies and site data" dropdown menu(2).

Next, click the popout button next to "Manage on-device site data".

Finally, hit the trash can icon next to all of the data that is listed. You may have more than one data source here; we recommend deleting all of the options.

Firefox
If you are using Firefox, click the lock icon to the left of the URL and then select "Clear cookies and site data". You will get a confirmation popup to confirm the deletion.
