Question

How do I change  the private Wi-Fi Address Settings for iOS 14?

Answer

For iOS devices like iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, with the update to iOS 14+, these devices by default are set to use private MAC addresses. This will prevent your device from connecting to TigerWiFi due to conflicting security settings between the device and the network security. Please be sure to follow the steps below to Turn Off the Private Address setting while connected to TigerWiFi.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the information button next to a network.
  4. Tap Private Address to turn off the feature.
  5. Tap Rejoin to reconnect to the network.

If your device joined the network without using a private address, a privacy warning explains why.
