Transfer a Call on a Single Line Phone

How do I transfer a call on a single line phone?

Use this feature whenever you wish to transfer a call to someone else or speak to more than one person at a time.

1. Ask the caller to hold the line.
2. Press the Tap button.
3. Listen for new dial tone.
4. Dial the number to which the call is being transferred to.
5. When the third party answers, you may conduct a private conversation.
6. When the third party agrees to receive the call, press the Tap button, then hang up.
7. If there is no answer, press the Tap button twice slowly to retrieve the caller.
