Cisco Webex Calling integration with MS Teams allows you to place, receive, and manage calls seamlessly from Microsoft Teams without interrupting your workflow or switching applications.

This user guide focuses on how to place and handle calls with Cisco Webex and MS Teams.

Placing Calls  

There are a few options for placing calls within the MS Team App.

OPTION 1: From Dialpad

Click Cisco Call and type the name or number of the person you want to call. Select the phone icon to connect.

OPTION 2: From Chat Message

In the direct chat, click Cisco call below the window,. From the contact card, select the number from the drop down.

OPTION 3: From Recent Calls

In the recent call logs, select the correct contact, Click the green phone icon to connect.

Receiving Calls  

A pop-up will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen when there is an incoming call. This pop-up will appear even if the application is minimized.

Select Answer to accept the call. A Webex call window will open.

Active Call Functions

Once your call is connected your functions will become available in the window. 

  • Mute – Disables your microphone. The other party cannot hear what you are saying, but you can still hear them. The Mute button will turn red when active.
  • Keypad – Displays an on-screen keypad for entering digits when prompted, such as selecting a menu option or entering a PIN. 
  • More Options – Displays additional call actions 
    • Hold – Places the active call on hold. The other party will hear music on hold. 
    • Transfer – Perform a cold or warm transfer to another party. 
    • Conference – Merge multiple participants into a single call. 
    • Park – Park a call 
  • End – Terminates the active call.

  1. Click on the Mute or Unmute button to control your microphone
  2. Choose Hold to put a caller on hold, Resume to remove the hold
Transfer Calls  

1. During an active call, expand the More Options menu and select Transfer

  • The Transfer Call window will appear.

2. Enter the number or search for whom you wish to transfer the call.

3. Then, click the green Transfer button.

4. A new Webex window will appear.

  • For a cold transfer, click the complete transfer button BEFORE the party answers. 
  • For a warm transfer, wait for the party to answer. Then, click the transfer button.

Conference Calls  

1. During an active call, expand the More Options menu and select Conference.

  • The Add a Person window will appear.

2. Enter the number or search for whom you wish to conference into the call.

3. Then, click the green Audio button.

4A new Webex window will appear.

  • Once the party you are conferencing in answers, click Merge to join both calls together.

Call Park

Call park allows you to put an active call on hold and continue the conversation from another phone within the organization.

1. During an active call, expand the More Options menu and select Park.

2. A call park number will be displayed that you can share to retrieve the call.

To retrieve a parked call:

1. From Application - Click the Retrieve Call option and enter the call park extension number

2. From desk phone – Use code *88 or click unpark

3. Enter the call park number

End Call

1. Click the Red X to disconnect the call.
