Ordering Process for TechSmith Products

Effective immediately, all TechSmith product purchases must be made through CDW via PeopleSoft eProcurement (myFinance) in Show-Me Shop by the requesting department. Direct purchases or renewals outside of this process are no longer supported. This process helps ensure consistent licensing, purchasing compliance, and accurate software usage tracking. 

Per the Software Directory, Snagit and Camtasia are approved for use up to Data Classification Level 2 (DCL 2). 

If you need to use data above the approved DCL, submit the appropriate request to IT Compliance before purchasing or using the software. TechSmith products listed here are intended for work-issued devices and are not intended for personal computers. 

Step 1: Confirm the Product in the Software Directory 

1. Navigate to the Software Directory. 

2. Use the search box on the left to search for “TechSmith,” “Snagit,” or “Camtasia.” Any of these terms will return the same product result. 

3. Review the product information in the Software Directory and save the page as needed for your procurement documentation. This will serve as your compliance approval for the purchase. 

Step 2: Create the Order in PeopleSoft 

1. Log in to myFinance. 

2. Navigate to eProcurement. 

3. Select Show Me Shops. 

4. Choose CDW as the supplier. 

5. Use Ctrl + F to search by manufacturer number, then select the appropriate TechSmith product. 

• Snagit: MFG # SB99A-N-25 

• Camtasia: MFG # CB09A-N-25 

• Why these manufacturer numbers matter: Only the listed Snagit and Camtasia manufacturer numbers are currently approved in the Software Directory. If you need to purchase a different TechSmith product or version through CDW, submit an IT Compliance ticket before ordering so the product can be reviewed and approved for use. 

6. Complete checkout following standard procurement procedures. 

TechSmith licenses are subscription-based. The license period begins on the date of purchase, and each purchase establishes its own license start and end date. 

• Purchases must be made through CDW in Show Me Shops to be valid. 

• Licenses purchased outside this process may not be supported. 

• Confirm the correct product and quantity before submitting the requisition.
