Ordering Process for NVivo

This article covers how to purchase NVivo outside of the Software Sales & Licensing team.

Due to rising costs and declining usage, our Software Sales & Licensing team will no longer centrally provide NVivo. Although NVivo will no longer be available for purchase through the Software Sales Team after July 5, 2026, it will continue to be supported for existing use. 

1. Discuss the purchase with your supervisor or MoCode approver before placing the order. 

2. Before purchasing, please note that NVivo is approved up to DCL 2. If your work requires use of data above this level, a request must be submitted to IT Compliance.

   • For more information, please refer to the IT Compliance Guidelines or contact the IT Compliance team at itcompliance@missouri.edu. Software purchases may be completed using a University OneCard.

3. After the NVivo license is purchased, keep a copy of the receipt or order confirmation for your records.
