How to Access IBM SPSS Modeler

This article provides instructions for accessing IBM SPSS Modeler based on your user type (lab computers, faculty/staff, or students).

IBM SPSS Modeler is a data science and machine learning tool used for building predictive models and performing advanced analytics. It allows users to visually design data workflows, explore datasets, and generate insights without requiring extensive programming experience.

It is commonly used in teaching and research for:

• Data mining and predictive modeling
• Statistical and machine learning analysis
• Data preparation and transformation
• Visual data workflows

 

The following are approved to use SPSS Modeler

• Faculty and staff using SPSS Modeler individually
• Students needing access for coursework or research
• Departments managing licenses for lab environments

 

If you are using a university-managed lab computer (shared device):

1. Open Software Anywhere

2. Search for SPSS Modeler
3. Launch the application directly from Software Anywhere

Note: No separate download is required for lab machines.

 

Faculty/ Staff & Student (Single User License)

• Create or sign in to your IBM Academic Initiative account
