How do I delete a folder in my Research Data Ecosystem (RDE) share using Globus?
Answer
Warning: Delete collections BEFORE deleting the root folder a collection.
Note: For first time login, see article "How To: Globus First Time Login"
1. In File Manager window, navigate to desired collection and path. Click on folder you wish to delete.
Example:
Collection: U MO ITRSS RDE
Path: /vast/trumant-lab
2. The selected folder is checked and highlighted. Click on Delete Selected in right pane.
3. The delete confirmation window will be displayed. Enter a delete task label and click on Delete.
4. A delete request submitted pop-up window will be display.
While the delete task is in queue, the deleted folder display as ghosted and struck out.
Click on refresh list to get an updated folder list for the collection.
5. File Manager folder list without deleted folder is displayed.
